What is Golden Shallot and how does it work?

Golden shallot is a meal kit/meal delivery service that serves Asian comfort food from Chinese, Malaysian, Thai, Vietnamese, and many more. We provide both heat to serve and ready to cook meals kit options. All you need to do is order from either our individual prepped meals or from our curated bundles.

Do I have to sign up for a suscription?

No! We are a subscription free meal kit service that allows you to order whenever

I'm new to Golden Shallot. Do I have to order a bundle?

At this time, we are only offering individual meals for local pickup only within the metro Atlanta area. We apologize for the inconvenience.

How should I store my prepared & ready meals?

All meal kits should be refrigerated as soon as possible and good for at least 7 days.

To uphold the freshness of our meal kits with fresh ingredients, it is recommended to cook within 2-3 days.

If you are not ready to eat our heat and serve meals, you can freeze them for up to 6 month and thaw and cook them whenever your ready.

Can I freeze my meal kits?

Technically Yes. All heat and serve items good for 6 months when kept frozen. Once thawed we recommend consuming within 7 days. Keep in mind that our goal is to provide you with the freshest meal possible and freezing your meal may affect the flavor and texture of the product.

What is the best by date on the meal kit?

Our meal kit’s are recommended to be consumed within 4-5 days from delivery if it contains fresh ingredients. We freshly package all ingredients the day before/of your delivery, but some fresh proteins are best consumed within 5 days. If you don’t have time to eat everything within 7 days, we recommend cooking the ingredients before the date and storing them or freezing them.

The best by date is 6 mont - 1 year from the date the product was made/packed. This date indicates when a product will be at its best quality, flavor, or freshness when frozen. Once the product is thawed, please consume within 7 days.

Where can I find cooking instructions?

All cooking instructions can be found on the meal kit's packaging itself as well as the item's product page.

Written instructions can be found either on the Recipe Card inside the tray (online orders) or on the Meal Kit sleeve around the tray (retail).

Where can I find the nutritional and ingredients information for each meal?

Nutrition facts and ingredients are located on the meal kit's packaging and product page.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Yes! If you need to make any modifications or cancel your order, please contact us via email at info@goldenshallot.com or via Instagram @goldenshallotusa within 2 hours of placing your order. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

Can I purchase Gift Cards?

Absolutely, gift cards can be bought and redeemed directly on our website. To purchase a Gift Card, go to Menu drop down > Gift Card tab > and select the desired value you wish to purchase and add to cart.

Do you have an app?

Unfortunately at this time, we do not have an app.

Delivery FAQ

What If I'm not home for delivery?

If you are not home while your box is being delivered, rest assured; your carrier will securely place the box by your door. Our boxes are built with insulations and cold packs to keep all your ingredents and meals fresh. If your order is being delivered to a shared community, like apartment or office building, please provide specific delivery directions.

When do you deliver?

All orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Once your order has been processed, you can expect your order to be shipped and delivered to you within 1-2 business days. An email confirmation will be sent to you directly once the order has been shipped.

Please keep in mind we do not work on weekends. Weekend placed orders will be processed on Monday and shipped out by Wednesday. Please refer to the chart below for

I'm Local, can I pick my order up?

If you are interested in picking up your order, please place you order in by 12pm for next day pickup. All pick up orders are ready within 1-2 business days from the time of purchase. If you are interested in doing a same day pickup, please call us at 770-368-0633 or email us at info@goldenshallot.com

How do I track my order?

Once you've placed your order, you will get an email confirming your order and an estimated delivery date. Once the order has shipped, you can always track your order through the email notification you receive. There will be a tracking link and tracking number you can check directly from the shipper carrier (Fedex).

Will my order stay fresh during delivery?

Your Golden Shallot delivery will come in an insulate box with enough ice packs to keep your meals cold. The ice packs are to keep all products cool and at a safe temperature.

Once you've received your box, we highly recommend refrigerating them as soon as possible. If you don't think you will be able to finish you meals within a week, please freeze them.

What do I do if my delivery arrives late?

If for any reason your order does not arrive on the scheduled delivery date due to carrier issues, please reach out us via email at info@goldenshallot.com or message us via Facebook/Instagram @goldenshallotusa with your order number.

What should I do if my box is damaged?

If you receive the box with external damage, please do not reject the parcel, as Fedex only compensates for damages to the contents, not the external packaging.

Please open the box, and inspect the overall content. If there is no damages to the actual meals, they are safe to consume. If you are having issues with the content, please take photos of the damaged item(s) and contact our customer service team at info@goldenshallot.com or send is a message through Facebook/Instagram @goldenshallotusa.
